Sky Star Hotel

I was setting up sound equipment for a birthday party in the Royal Ball room. The food served was just so-so, about average restaurant quality. They need a cargo access route to the ballroom, since heavy equipment like speakers and a large stage setup needs to be brought in easily.

A few things could be better: air conditioning wasn't consistent in some rooms, older parts of the building showed some wear, and not every room had a good view. Still, the hotel felt like good value, with clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and reliable Wi-Fi. Housekeeping kept the rooms tidy. The breakfast buffet had plenty of freshly made local and international choices, and the restaurant staff were friendly. The front desk was professional, responsive, and spoke fluent English, making check-in and help straightforward. I also found the fitness center, rooftop bar, meeting rooms, and airport transfers useful. In Yangon, Skystar Hotel was a comfortable, well managed base for business or sightseeing.

For a budget buffet, breakfast had all the basic items I wanted, including egg and salad stations. I wasn't expecting much, but I really liked the omelette the chef made.

The staff and manager made this place feel welcoming, with warm service and attention to detail. After a busy resort where crowds, noise, and activities took away the peace, I arrived here and felt relaxed and at home. It has the coziness of a small hotel along with the decor and comfort of a high-end one. The rooms are bright, modern, spacious, and tidy, with comfortable beds, blackout curtains, a practical clean bathroom, and a large wardrobe. Security felt excellent, the atmosphere was quiet, and there are pools on the terrace. Dining was excellent and reasonably priced, and I was surprised I couldn't find a flaw. The cleanliness and facilities were impressive too. I've traveled a lot, and it's been a long time since I've met such pleasant people, always smiling and ready to help. I'm grateful to the staff and manager. I highly recommend it, and hope I can return. It's an experience I won't forget.
