Wai Wai's Bed & Breakfast Inn

The small number of comfortable rooms in a nice villa gives this place the feel of a family-sized guesthouse, and I loved the atmosphere during my two weeks here after arriving in Yangon. WaiWai, the host, is incredibly friendly and makes sure you feel at home. She was glad to help with bus ticket bookings and arrange a taxi to pick up a friend. Probably one of the best places to stay when you first arrive in Yangon. Highly recommended!

It’s a rented house run as a family business, with friendly staff and rooms at good prices if you want to stay over. I came for the food: the garden has a nice atmosphere, and the English menu offers a limited selection. We tried the Shan noodles in two styles, plus tomato and potato salad, and they were very good. It’s a nice place to eat if you’re nearby, and I’d eat here again. You’ll almost always need a taxi to get there, but they’re quite cheap and easy to arrange.

We came for a meal rather than a night’s stay. The food was very good, the cost was low, and the staff were polite and friendly.

Breakfast was tasty, the rooms were simple and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
