The staff made our stay feel warm and attentive, and the spacious rooms were stylish and thoughtfully laid out. Yangon Excelsior combines colonial-era charm with modern comfort, giving the place an elegant, welcoming feel from arrival. Its historic character stood out, and the convenient location made it easy to visit the city's landmarks. It was one of the highlights of my trip to Yangon, and I'd gladly recommend it for business or leisure.

The real reason Excelsior Yangon stands out is the people. From housekeeping to reception, everyone greeted us with a genuine smile that made us feel welcome, not like just another booking. The service had the same warmth throughout, thoughtful and attentive without feeling forced. The building and facilities are first class, beautifully appointed and impeccably maintained. Everything we wanted was there and delivered to a high standard. A true Myanmar gem, and if you're visiting Yangon, look no further.

The reception team were excellent. They showed us several room categories and explained everything in detail, a level of service you don't often find. I came across the hotel by chance on booking platforms, where the price was lower than contacting the hotel directly. It opened in 2011, but in 2026 it still looks brand new after 15 years. The stylish design has a refined English influence, with care in every detail. Photos may not do the rooms justice, they feel much more luxurious and rich in detail in person. Highly recommended.

The menu is a bit more limited than before, probably because there aren't many travellers in Myanmar with the current situation. Still, I can eat there every day without a problem, and I loved everything. The service, room, and staff are the best, and everyone is super friendly. I really like this hotel and will keep coming back whenever I go to Yagon. I hope more guests stay there.
