There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, and Sukhbaatar Square is about a 10-15 minute walk away. I stayed one night after arriving in Ulaanbaatar, before heading off on a nomad tour. The staff were nice and helpful. Rooms are spacious, though a bit dated.

This seems like it was once a really nice hotel, but it could use renovation. There’s no AC, moth holes in the carpet and chair, and actual moths flying around. The small shampoo, conditioner, and wash bottles were only half full. The main square is about a 15-20 minute walk away.

Breakfast was included, but the menu stayed the same every day. At check-in, the staff asked for more than the amount in the confirmation letter and wouldn’t adjust it. This hotel was prestigious a long time ago, but now it’s losing its beauty.

A huge, beautiful room for good value, and right in the center.

The bathroom door was broken, and so was the shower curtain, which meant water ended up all over the bathroom floor. Coffee was available in the room on the first day, then there was no more. I stayed 10 days.
