The only thing going for this hotel is its location near the CBD, where you can walk to restaurants and shops. We stayed three nights at the end of June, and it was miserable. There was no hot water at all, not even a warm shower, but we were still charged over $100 a night. The hotel is old and badly managed. Breakfast was nearly laughable, with stale food and coffee that tasted like it had been sitting around for days. The staff attitude made things worse. When the car park gate wouldn’t work, the manager was incredibly rude, told us to “pay up,” and hung up. The older male receptionist then went off on our guide for asking him to open the gate because the license reader was broken. Our guide damaged his tires trying to get out when they wouldn’t help. The young receptionist was the one decent person there, and was actually polite and helpful. I wouldn’t recommend this place. There are plenty of nearby hotels that won’t treat guests or their guides like nuisances. Spend your money elsewhere.

The rooms are huge, and you get more than one room in this old-school hotel. The interior looks a little dated but it’s clean, and the staff are caring and nice. Best hotel gym I’ve seen in years.

The location is great, and you can get a good price if you negotiate. But the service wasn’t the best, and the minibar had expired items, including a can of nuts. We thought dried nuts in a sealed can might be okay, but still. Room service was poor too. They could do better.

We have office space at the Continental Hotel. The younger staff usually smile, which makes it a nice place to be. One older female staff member, though, doesn’t seem to understand what her job involves. She needs to provide decent service and communicate politely and effectively. I hope management takes action to make the staff more professional and attract more customers.

I was disappointed with the hotel. When I stayed with friends on 20/8/25, the TV, phone, and lights in my room weren’t working. The technician took half an hour to show up and only fixed the rights. The next day I checked out to travel to Darkhan with my friends and booked rooms for 24/8. When we returned, the hotel said there were no rooms for us.
