JW Marriott Hotel Macau

The rooftop water park is massive, with a man-made beach the kids loved, and the executive lounge food was very good. We also had a standout breakfast moment: we came near closing and the chicken wings were gone, so the chef made a fresh batch for my daughter and brought it over himself. Breakfast was excellent for both quality and choice. The staff's quick response to a cigarette smell in our room, with an air purifier and a bottle of red wine, was professional, though the issue wasn't ideal. We stayed with family from 9 to 11 June 2025, and I was disappointed not to get a suite upgrade despite being a Titanium Marriott Bonvoy member. I understand many suites go to VIPs who visit the casino often, but I had hoped to try the JW Marriott Macau suite, which I hear is excellent. The hotel gave us a detailed Macau map prepared by the government, with places to visit and eat and tips for getting around. That welcome, along with the way people work together to make visitors' stays enjoyable, left me with a very positive impression of Macau. This is a great family hotel, and as a frequent Marriott guest I'd recommend it, even with limited suite upgrades. Service, facilities, and hospitality made for a good stay overall.

Even the basic rooms feel pretty luxurious, and the bathrooms are great. The view is good to average facing outward, while the courtyard and pools are much nicer to look at. The smoke in the corridors from mainland Chinese guests being allowed to smoke freely takes away from the high-end atmosphere.

The kids club and the location were both great, and breakfast was a nice buffet. Tiffany at the front desk was amazing, as were the elevator and bell staff member whose name I can't remember. Came with my husband and two kids, and we loved the stay. Amazing service!

Joana at reception made check-in excellent. She upgraded our room and gave us a complimentary cake, and there's a free shuttle bus from the ferry port. Excellent service, and we'll come back again.
