Hotel Guia

We didn't feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Nobody explained how to get to our room or gave us any other information, and we had to call reception just to get the Wi-Fi password. We've traveled to many countries and never judged people by race, so being treated that way by others is disgraceful and insulting. I've never felt like this in another country, and I won't stay here again. I also don't understand why there's a deposit when the full stay is already paid for. The money itself doesn't matter to me, but the policy makes no sense. The hotel needs to improve how it treats people from other countries. It's no wonder its rating is below 4. I'd strongly recommend finding another hotel where you're treated like a human being regardless of race or skin color.

We didn't mind that the hotel was old and small, and I appreciated most things about it. But on our last night, a constant cigarette smell came through the central air conditioning, and it was just too much. I complained by phone and in person at the front desk. The night manager seemed not to care and did absolutely nothing to address it, or even try. I was disappointed in both the hotel and its management.

The rooftop view alone makes the stay worthwhile. If you go up late, bring your own wine and a book, you'll love it. The interior decor is wonderful, and the staff are kind. My room had a bathtub, which I rarely find in Asia, as well as a safe and mini fridge, both nice to have. The complimentary tea and Nescafé coffee were delicious.

There are plenty of local restaurants near the hotel, and the city center is an easy walk. You can book a free transfer to the Harbor, and there are also free rides to the Londen, Parisien and Venitian casinos. They have the best shopping malls and the most important statues of those cities.
