Mandarin Oriental, Macau

Housekeeping kept our room spotless, and the quiet, thoughtful turndown service added a lovely touch. The only letdown was the club sandwich we ordered through in-room dining: it arrived cold, and the fries were soft and lukewarm. The rest of the stay was wonderful. Michelle Liew arranged a beautiful birthday celebration for my girlfriend, from the room decorations to the surprises, and handled every detail with real care. She and the team were warm, professional, and seemed to anticipate what we needed. It made us feel valued and gave us a memory we’ll hold onto. Thank you for such a special stay. We can’t wait to come back.

It was lovely to return to Mandarin Oriental, Macau. Everything was in order, the amenities were exceptional, and the food was amazing. I’m already looking forward to another visit. A big thank you to Ken, Kaya, Deo, Terry, Sohan, Milan, and Michell from the concierge team, all of whom were outstanding. Rachel in the breakfast room made each morning a pleasure, and Roshan and Leo at the pool were welcoming, attentive, and professional. Please pass on my thanks to everyone.

The little gifts waiting in the room whenever we came back were a lovely surprise, and not something I often see at other hotels. The staff were cheerful and courteous throughout. Ms. Michelle Liew took great care of us as our butler, arranging a workshop, a tea-time table, and a taxi. When taxis weren’t available, the concierge team quickly organized a hotel car instead. We had originally booked one night in the Tower View Suite, but were upgraded to the Deluxe Suite and got to check in early at 14:15. The room facilities were in excellent shape, even better than what I remember from Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong.

We felt relaxed the whole time, largely thanks to Michelle from the Butler team and Deo from the Concierge. They noticed what we needed before we had to ask, and their attention to detail was wonderful. Everyone looked after us so well. The spa team was great too. Housekeeping and the operators were always quick to respond to our requests.
