Those nearby beaches are fantastic for a swim or a walk. There’s a cute little cove and beach with stairs not far away. The fridge and freezer were very cold, and despite having neighbors I didn’t hear them. This hotel is basically made from converted shipping containers, so I was a little worried about noise from the metal walls. It was fine apart from the occasional people coming and going on the metal stairs, and still much better than another Tinian hotel where a rooster woke me at four in the morning. The rooms have European-style outlets with two round prongs. They lent me a converter for free, which was nice. The rooms are long and narrow, with the beds back to back, and the beds are big. There’s no bedside reading lamp, so next time I’ll bring a small battery-operated one.

Tachogña Beach is right out front, and it’s one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen, even though I’m from the Mariånas. Our second-floor room had a great view, though we were likely to spend most of our time by the ocean anyway. You can walk to other beaches and to the little town of San Jose. A car would be useful for seeing the historic sites, including the impressive Suicide Cliff(s) to the south, WWII air strips, atomic bomb sites, and more beaches to the north. There weren’t any fancy bath products, so bring your own. You might want to bring towels too, since you’ll use a lot at the beach.

The view was great, and one of the island’s best beaches is within walking distance. The room was clean, comfortable, and roomy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms use 220-volt wiring, but adapters are available to borrow. Bring a beach towel. Wi-Fi is free, though it was very unreliable during my stay.

The staff are awesome and will help with anything you need, even though there aren’t amenities. We had beer, and they bought us a cooler and ice and wouldn’t let us pay. The rooms are very clean, but simple and not spacious. It’s a conex box hotel, with a large, comfortable bed. The main draw is the location, right at the beach. This is the place to stay on the island.

The staff were friendly and greeted us whenever we came in, whatever the day or time. We appreciated the extra water and the gorgeous sunset and sunrise views from our suite. Clean, affordable, friendly.
