Azalaï Hotel Nouakchott

The breakfast buffet offered a great variety, and the employees were kind. The hotel itself was very nice.

I was there for 7 days and had a good experience overall. The room was clean, though the air conditioner was noisy, and the staff were satisfactory. The food was generally good, but the chicken left an unpleasant smell on my hand, so the cleaning before cooking needs to be reconsidered. There was also a problem with the airport shuttle. My flight was delayed, so I called and emailed the hotel to change the pickup time. Aichetou Sow emailed back to confirm it. Even so, no shuttle was waiting when I arrived. The front desk said they had no reservation for that day, and I had to wait another hour for it to come.

The financial district location is convenient, with an ATM right outside. The hotel has a swimming pool and fitness room, and the rooms are very nice with good showers.

The rooms were spacious, clean, and well kept, and the restaurant had delicious food with a good selection. The central location made getting around Nouakchott easy. We felt safe throughout our stay thanks to professional, discreet security. We also appreciated having an on-site pharmacy. It’s small, but it was a real life-saver when we needed basic medical supplies quickly without leaving the hotel. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm and professional. Mr. Mahmoud at the front desk deserves special thanks for being so helpful and accommodating. His fluent English made things easier, and he went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. A big thank you to the Azalaï Hotel (Marhaba) team, especially Mr. Mahmoud, for such a pleasant, stress-free stay. Highly recommended!
