We stayed at Samba's place at the start and end of our trip to Mauritania, and both stays were great. The hotel was comfortable and clean, with a hot shower and delicious food. Eating on the rooftop with the nice view was a treat. Samba made us feel welcome from the start: he met us at the airport, helped us exchange money, shared useful advice, and even helped us get on the bus the next day. Talking with him was a real pleasure, and he did everything he could to make us comfortable. Thanks so much, Samba! Highly recommended.

The rooftop was a nice touch, and breakfast was really tasty. The guest house is comfortable, with great beds and hot water, and it’s centrally located. Samba was incredibly welcoming, even picking me up from another spot in the city. Very reasonably priced. I’d highly recommend it.

Even though we hadn’t made a proper booking, Samba worked hard to sort something out for us and managed to find a solution. He also helped us get cash, exchange money, and buy SIM cards despite our late arrival. The rooms were great, with WiFi and hot water. He was the friendliest, most accommodating host. Can’t recommend him enough.

The guesthouse is in a quieter area, just a short walk from the BUSY center. There are plenty of little shops nearby, and there’s also a really good Malian restaurant close by with delicious food at affordable prices. Samba was the real highlight for me. He went out of his way to help me sort out all my things after I landed, and was always ready with tips or help whenever he could. He’s one of the kindest, most caring and helpful guys around. I’d definitely recommend staying here, and I’ll recommend it to any traveler passing through Nouakchott.

I stayed here twice during my time in Mauritania. On the first visit we got in at 11pm, and the host stayed up and kindly made us some food. He even helped us get a SIM card the next day. Samba knows how to get around the city by public transport, and he arranged transport for us to terjit and Senegal. The rooms are basic but adequate and very clean, with hot showers and a kitchen for anyone who wants to cook. A very nice host. You’d be missing out if you skipped this place in Nouakchott.
