Communication with the host was excellent, and all the information we needed arrived on time. The location is a real plus: a beautiful town with plenty of shops and restaurants, and bus number 2 makes it easy to reach the center of Valletta and the ferry. We felt very safe in the area. The apartment itself needs work. It had everything we needed, but it was quite dirty, especially the bathroom, and the towels and bed linen smelled unpleasant. The walls need repainting, and the bathroom needs a thorough clean. At 4:00 AM, water suddenly leaked through the ceiling and flooded the floor. With some renovation, I could see it being worth €50 a night. As it is now, I wouldn’t pay more than €20.

The terrace has a lovely view, with a table and a few chairs, and the location is peaceful and convenient for getting around by bus or ferry. We stayed in room 4 on the second floor. Be warned, there are a lot of steep stairs. Our room had a small kitchen nook with everything provided, plus a little bathroom. It was clean, though the bathroom could have used a bit more attention. The TV didn’t work, but the WiFi is free, and there’s a free water dispenser in the shared hallway. We were very happy with the stay and would recommend it.

The staff and everyone we met were wonderful. The hotel is right in the center of birgu, so everything is close by. It’s one of the cheapest and best places we’ve stayed, with everything provided as listed in the information. We had a wonderful time and hope to come back.

The owner was so kind and helpful, and there’s a very nice restaurant with traditional local food just a minute from the rooms. We stayed for five nights in this lovely historic building, in a pleasant area that doesn’t feel too touristy. It was very clean, though every now and then there was an unpleasant smell from the bathroom. The boat and bus connections to Valeta are close by. I recommend both the rooms and the restaurant.
