Casa Birmula

We were so happy we picked this place for our honeymoon. The staff were incredibly kind, and gave us a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate. The ferry station for Valletta is just two minutes away, though we only discovered that on our last day 😆. The house is gorgeous, the breakfast was the best, with lots of delicious choices, and the rooftop pool was very clean with a large area to relax. This was the most amazing accommodation I’ve ever had. I highly recommend it! 🤍

The check-in went smoothly even though I arrived later, thanks to Mariella and Maureen, who were sweet and quick to respond with all the instructions. My sister and I had a wonderful stay at Casa Birmula. The Three Cities are one of my favourite areas in Malta, and the location is also very close to Valletta. We loved the rooftop and pool, especially as a spot for sunrise or sunset. The stone building and its beautiful design gave the place a magical, authentic Maltese feel. Everything was immaculate, and the art and warm details made it feel cosy and lovely to look at. A real must visit.

We weren’t sure at first if Valetta would feel too far away, but the neighbourhood around the hotel turned out to have plenty to offer. The staff were so friendly and breakfast was wonderful. We loved our stay and would come back a thousand times.

The pool was out of use for most of our stay because of storm damage. We only learned about it after arriving, though we hadn’t been warned when booking. Still, the roof terrace was pleasant and had great views, and the hotel made a good base for exploring. It’s a charming place, tucked down a side street, with lovely decor inside. The ferry terminal for Valetta and nearby restaurants are close, especially the Greek restaurant on the waterfront about 300 metres away. Our room, M'Dina, was small but comfortable and clean. Service was excellent, particularly the breakfast chef, whose scrambled eggs were perfect. Breakfast had plenty of variety.
