The Lodge

We got engaged in Malta, and the team made the room feel special with thoughtful touches like biscuits and sparkling water. They took care of us at every turn, and we felt safe throughout our stay. The staff were all friendly and pleasant, and meeting Dorian on our last day was a lovely ending to the holiday. The lodge itself is stunning, a beautiful building dating back to the 14th century in a peaceful spot by Malta’s harbour. We felt like royalty and hope to visit again. Thank you to everyone at the lodge!!! :)

Breakfast in the inner courtyard was magical, with plants, golden stone, and sunlight coming in from above. The lodge is a renovated traditional townhouse, and the building is stunning. Our room was a little small, and we kept bumping our heads on the bathroom entrance. That’s one of the quirks of an old building, and in a way it added to the charm :-). Dorian was a great host and made us feel welcome. The location is right in the lovely Three Cities area, with easy access to the water taxi to Valletta or a quick road taxi. We stayed in 2023 and still think back to this special place. We hope to return.

I felt at home thanks to the welcoming staff, and the owner was friendly and easy to reach whenever I wanted advice about what to do or where to go in Malta. The hotel is in a perfect spot, and breakfast was excellent. I really enjoyed my stay and would come back.

I came across this hotel by chance while on an official conference trip, after it was randomly picked near the venue. I never expected the stay itself to become such an unforgettable part of the trip. The 500-year-old house has an even older cellar, and the owner kindly showed me around and shared its fascinating history. You can feel the centuries in the stones, and the atmosphere was magical. The service was flawless, the room beautiful, and I was especially grateful for the generous late check-out. I’ll always remember the quiet presence of the past and how special it felt to stay here.
