ibis Styles ST Pauls Bay Malta

We had a wonderful stay at ibis Styles in St Paul’s Bay, Malta. The room we were first given wasn’t to our liking, but the receptionist quickly arranged a better one, and we appreciated the prompt, professional help. Our room was cleaned daily, and the whole hotel was tidy and well maintained. The staff were warm, professional, and always ready to help. Robin deserves a special mention for helping us with food and taking great care of us. I can’t remember everyone’s names, but each person we met was well trained and genuinely friendly. The central location made it easy to visit nearby restaurants and explore. There was construction at the beach during our stay, which was the one downside, but the sea view from our room still gave us some beautiful memories. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay and great service.

The rooms were good, and the friendly staff made us feel welcome throughout our 1 week stay. Samir deserves a special thanks for always being helpful and smiling from check-in onward. Housekeeping kept the rooms immaculate, the maintenance guy got the TV’s HDMI port working so we could watch the World 7s rugby, and breakfast staff were great too. There’s no 'in house' parking, but in January/February we had no trouble finding a space within 1 block. This was one of the best IBIS Styles we’ve stayed at in 10 years of globetrotting. We’ll definitely stay here again if we return to Malta. Many thanks to everyone.

I had a fantastic stay over New Year. My large double room on the 4th floor was quiet, and they served mulled wine and homemade biscuits every day. Andrea, Andreana, and Alice at the front desk gave incredible service throughout, recommending places to eat and explaining how to get the transport I needed. They generally worked around the clock to make things easy. It was my birthday on New Year's Eve, and Suni the housekeeper made a lovely surprise for me in my room. I’m very grateful! Breakfast was plentiful and filling, and the 10th floor Cosy Garden room is super cute. It was too cold for me to use the pool or sit outside the bar. I had planned to go Valletta for New Year's, but the weather put me off. The hotel had fireworks and complimentary prosecco instead. My one suggestion would be to improve the countdown experience: the fireworks were very close, and the prosecco arrived later than I’d hoped because of staff miscommunication, not including those mentioned.

I spent a few days here a couple of weeks ago for a short break, and can’t fault it. The rooms were totally spotless, and the staff were wonderfully helpful. Andrea at reception deserves a special mention. She was so welcoming, always smiling, and happy to help. It’s a great base for exploring Malta.
