The room looked nothing like the advertisement. Ours had a balcony, but it was dirty and moldy, as shown in the pictures. Breakfast wasn’t enjoyable either, served in a dark room, and the staff were rude. Many reviews for this place feel fake. Don’t go if you want a nice stay in Malta.

The rooftop garden was a nice place to sit, and breakfast was very good. The staff were genuinely friendly and helped us switch rooms when the first one turned out to be too small for us. The mattress was worn out, and the bathroom was especially difficult for me to use after surgery because I’m not very flexible. We got a good rate, but air conditioning cost an extra 7 euro per day, which wasn’t shown on our booking. The staff member explained that the lower price left some things out, so that made sense. It’s fine for a few days if you’re travelling and don’t need a fancy room, but keep your expectations modest.

The breakfast had a great range, and it felt like anyone would be made at home, whatever their nationality. I also loved the jacuzzi on the terrace, and the bedroom was spacious with a large bathroom and very good sheets. Reception were warm and helpful, with restaurant and sightseeing suggestions that were useful since I didn’t have much time. The location was perfect, close to the sea, bus stop, supermarkets, tour agencies and all sorts of restaurants. They can arrange an airport transfer too, which was really handy.

The price was reasonable for that time of year, so I didn’t mind having a very small single room with only the basics. At least it had air conditioning. The bed wasn’t great, and housekeeping was just okay. The staff were nice and helpful. I skipped breakfast. The location worked well for me, near St. Paul Bay square.
