The mattresses were really uncomfortable, which was the one drawback of an otherwise pleasant stay. Our room stayed clean with regular housekeeping, and the staff were very kind and helpful throughout. The accommodation is in a great location.

It was very cheap, which is the only reason we booked. The location was okay and the room was clean, but water pressure was low, which seems common in Malta. The sofa bed was useless as a sofa, and the kitchen was very basic, short on glasses, a tea towel and more cutlery. The middle room had no windows, so it felt dark and depressing. Parking is on the street in a very busy area, so finding a space was hit and miss. January was okay, but I imagine high season could be a nightmare.

Parking was difficult when hiring a car. We found spaces on the surrounding streets, but we were there outside peak holiday time. The apartment itself was nice, clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly. It’s close to plenty of supermarkets and restaurants. A better range of self-catering equipment would have helped. We stayed at the ibis down the road for a few days, at double the price, but actually enjoyed this apartment more. I’d recommend staying here.

Breakfast was great, and the staff at the beautiful rooftop were lovely. The owner was kind, too. The location is central and very close to the beach, on a street that’s busy but quiet. Check-in wasn’t pleasant, though. The Indian receptionist was unfriendly and had a lot of attitude. When I asked for help with the language, he refused. The floor in my room was really dirty.
