Joseluce Guesthouse

The owner was lovely and quick to reply, and the room was spotless with everything I needed, including air conditioning. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the airport. You can hear planes taking off, but it didn’t bother me. I’d definitely recommend this guesthouse.

There’s nowhere to eat nearby, so it’s worth planning for that. The guesthouse is basic but practical and good value, with individual rooms and bathrooms plus a shared kitchen and living room. The host texts you codes for the front door and your room. The walk from the airport takes a bit longer than Google Maps suggests, so a taxi might be easier, especially with luggage. The host can arrange a car and driver.

There are several rooms in the guesthouse, and guests can use the full kitchen. It was clean and spacious, close to Malta airport and a bus stop.

I found it safe enough to walk back at 4 a.m. The streets were quiet, and the neighborhood was decently lit. My single room was in a large house with a shared bathroom, and everything was clean and nice. The owner communicated well. It’s under a 15-minute walk from the airport, and for the price, it’s a perfectly good stopover.
