Talbot & Bons Studio Flat

We were very grateful for the help at such short notice, especially at 4:30 a.m. on a Sunday. Our flight was badly delayed, but the owner sent instructions by SMS on how to book and find the apartment and arranged early check-in. Communication and check-in were excellent, and everyone was friendly and accommodating. It’s a short walk to Malta Airport and would suit a night before a flight or a longer stay. Highly recommend!

There was mold throughout the room, and the humidity made it feel toxic to breathe. It was noisy all night too. I wouldn’t stay again.

Cherise was kind and gave me useful tips, including the best Pizzaria for delivery and how to get around the island. I took a quick trip to Mars six locks and had a wonderful meal at the nostra Patrona, where I had the best clams casino I’ve ever eaten. The staff were friendly, and there was little interaction with other guests, so it felt like having the place to myself. The fireworks in the evenings were a thrill. I stayed for two nights to recover from a long-distance flight and was surprised by how cozy it was. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and had all the amenities, the shower pressure was adequate, the AC was strong, and there were good cable channels. There’s also a little pool where I soaked for a few hours after arriving. Its location near the airport was convenient. I appreciated the flexibility with check-in and check-out, which made things much easier. The staff at Talbots & Bons really tried to make the stay pleasant. If it’s available, I’d book it without hesitation.

The room was nice, the service was good, and breakfast was good too. But there wasn’t proper insulation, and noise came through the main door. The room was very close to the road, and when we stayed in June 2023 it was noisy and hard to sleep. I think the owner could find a solution, but it hadn’t been quiet during our stay. I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but I wish I’d known about the noise beforehand.
