Lulu Boutique Hotel

The pool area is stunning, almost picture perfect, but also feels cozy and warm. I slept wonderfully in the soft beds, and the shower was divine. Some rooms even have a jacuzzi. All the food was delicious, and I loved having cappuccinos by the pool. I was looking for a place near the vet who could care for my dog, and I was so lucky to find this precious jewel. The kind attention from Lulu began with our correspondence, including thoughtful care for my dog’s particular needs. After a very long journey, we were welcomed with a drink and gracious help getting settled. My dog also had a dog bed and blanket waiting for him, a sweet gesture that gave him his own corner while he recovered from surgery. I’d spent three magical months in a Gozitan farmhouse on Gozo the year before and hoped to feel that magic again, without the work of looking after an old traditional building. Staying at Lulu's Boutique Hotel felt like a dream come true: a beautifully restored old home with wonderful hospitality. I enjoyed exploring Zebbug and being in a village rather than the busy atmosphere of Valletta, where I’ve stayed in five-star hotels before. The lovely accommodation and phenomenal service turned what could have been a difficult time into a relaxed, easy stay. I’m a travel writer, so after leaving I looked into whether any other properties came close to the special oasis Lulu and her husband have created. My answer is no. Lulu's Boutique Hotel is in a league of its own, and truly the best hotel in Malta.
