Breakfast was a highlight, with lots of different pastries to try. Joseph and his family made the place feel more like home than a hotel, and their energy and hospitality were extraordinary. We arrived at 7.30 AM, well before the 2.30 PM check-in, but Joseph still found us a room. It was cozy and peaceful, and we slept without any disturbance. When the AC stopped working at 12.30 AM one night, Joseph came to help and got it fixed. Thank you so much, Joseph ❤️.

Joseph is what makes this guesthouse special. He’s a great host, friendly and helpful, and you can tell he really wants everyone to enjoy their stay. I was there for a dive trip at the end of April, and the Lantern Guest House was perfect for what I needed.

The breakfast was really tasty, made by what I think was the family’s nanna. It’s a lovely family-run place. I stayed one night while doing the coastal trek around Gozo and would recommend it.

Joseph even lent me his own charger when I’d forgotten mine. That kind of care says a lot about how well the owner looks after this place. The Lantern was my first time trying a guest house after usually staying at chain hotels, and it turned out to be a great experience. It’s a long-running family business, with a personal, homely feel, but it’s still professionally run and kept clean. The accommodation was clean, the host was caring and amazing, and it was great value for money. Everyone should give it a try.
