Mosta is a convenient base, with restaurants, shops, banks, and good transport links nearby. The apartment is about 25 minutes from the airport. Payment is split in half, by bank transfer and cash on arrival. The company responded quickly to calls and questions, and for the price, the stay was comfortable and modern enough that I’d consider returning. The room was tidy, with two single beds pushed together, a TV with plenty of channels, decent storage, and a safe. Make sure you check that you have the safe key. The bathroom is small, and the shower sometimes leaks, but it was fine overall. The large shared kitchen was clean and good for meals, though the fridge can get crowded and other guests’ etiquette varies. There are lots of stairs up to the rooms, so it may be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. The rooftop is a nice place to relax, but it has no furniture, which is a shame. At night it’s peaceful, and you can see the high road.

I’ve spent four hours trying to sort out this booking, with international calls and a lot of stress, and got nowhere. This property shouldn’t be listed on any platform if they can’t manage bookings. I booked through Booking dot com months ahead, with the understanding that I could cancel for a full refund until 14 days before the stay. Twenty days before arrival, I asked to shorten the booking by one night and heard nothing. Booking’s customer service also got no response. The free cancellation period expired in the meantime. Their first reply came more than two weeks later, and they refused to refund the night I’d removed. That’s one star so far, and I haven’t even started my stay. Avoid it if you expect any sign of service.

The place is renovated and quiet, and generally clean. The location is perfect. The one drawback is all the stairs, since there’s no elevator.
