Aparthotel Adagio Malta Central

For my business trip to the University of Malta, this hotel worked really well. The room’s style was enjoyable, and I liked the weekly cleaning schedule since it supports sustainability and means no one interrupts you during the day. Staff were kind and helpful throughout. Bolt and other services make it easy to get around the island, and there’s space outside the hotel for drivers to park. The rooftop terrace was a lovely finishing touch.

The penthouse came with a lovely big terrace and furniture for sitting or lounging, but the weather kept us from using it. We’d booked a penthouse expecting the breakfast bar/workspace in the photos, and the sofa was smaller than the one shown online. With two people, it felt cramped for eating, watching TV, or reading, so ask about those details if you’ll be working there. The kitchen was well equipped and the room clean. Reception were friendly and quickly fixed a cooker issue, and they changed the towels midweek without us asking. It’s an easy five-minute walk to the Qroqq3/4 bus stops for Valletta or the northern island ferry.

The room cost a bit more than I expected, probably because it was high season, but I was comfortable overall. There’s a coin laundry, pool, gym, and a lovely restaurant, and the staff were really helpful. Bus stops nearby made getting to Valletta and elsewhere easy, and the hotel staff were friendly. The shower room wasn’t perfectly clean, though it was acceptable; the plates and inside of the microwave were a little dirty too. Having a kitchen was great. My towels were replaced once, but they were torn, which disappointed me even though I could still use them. Thank you.

Check-in was quick, and the front desk team were wonderful, especially Asia and Antonella. The room had a very comfortable bed, a relaxing living area that also worked for getting some work done, and a fully equipped kitchenette that made it feel more like home. Everything was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. I’ll come back for sure.
