The only good thing I found was that the shower had hot water, though it came out boiling and was hard to adjust to a comfortable temperature. The bathrooms were a mess too: water went everywhere, and there was no shower curtain. The buffet was horrendous and inedible at both breakfast and dinner. At dinner, drinks cost extra every time, and even water wasn't included. The online photos were deceptive. Inside the rooms there was a strong, unbearable cigarette smell. The older woman on night staff knew about it and didn't care; her attitude was appalling and there was no hospitality. Day staff were acceptable.

The location was the only good part. We arrived on 30th September 2025 for two weeks, but lasted just four nights before booking another hotel for the rest of the trip. That one felt like heaven. This was my first holiday after a mild heart attack, and the first few days in Malta were ruined. We were put in the student accommodation, which was disgusting: holes in the curtains, stained bedding, dirty linen and towels, rust in the bath, and pillows with no stuffing left. No fresh towels or bed linen were brought to the room. Reception staff seemed more interested in their phones than listening to complaints, and the next day there was no coffee or milk, so we bought some ourselves. The manager didn't seem bothered, despite taking our £800. My husband had to collect the ironing board himself. They charged for the key to the ancient safe and for the TV remote too. The food was bland and the same every day. We won't return.

The bedroom doors didn't lock, and when we raised it, staff said it was “for safety reasons.” We felt vulnerable, and there was no sound insulation; noise from the corridors and neighbouring rooms carried straight through. Online photos made the place look decent, but they were highly misleading. It felt like a low-cost hostel for young partygoers charging standard premium prices. On the first night I wanted to leave for another hotel, but neither the hotel nor Booking.com would refund us. We spent five days here, and it was a nightmare. With one or two rare exceptions, staff were rude and dismissive. Our towels were dirty so we asked for fresh ones every day. One day we were told the whole hotel had run out. We got unstained towels only on our final day. When we complained about filthy linen, staff said it “isn't new and has been used before.” The building is badly outdated and needs maintenance. Walls had damp and peeling paint, the ceiling was stained, and the bathroom had broken tiles and toilet plumbing crudely patched with silicone. After flushing, the toilet took around 20 minutes to refill, making noise the whole time and inconveniencing the next person. The bedroom fridge rattled terribly and made it hard to fall asleep. This doesn't meet even a three-star standard. I strongly advise against staying here and will never return to this hotel chain.

The views and room were nice, and the place was clean with fairly decent food. Breakfast was okay but could be better, and the restaurant is what earns the three stars for me. The area is good, with lots of pubs nearby. The rooftop jacuzzi had no water, the sauna on level -1 didn't work, and there was loud music in the evening and at night.
