The room had everything we needed and was clean, with a large bathroom and a kitchen that was equipped. Bring dish soap and a sponge if you want to wash up. Wi-Fi is only available in reception. Buggiba Bay bus station is about a 10-minute walk away. We enjoyed our stay, and both the reception staff and the gentleman who did our housekeeping were polite, friendly and helpful.

The room was filthy, with dust everywhere, as if it hadn’t been cleaned for weeks. I have asthma and kept sneezing, and the bedsheets were stained. We took photos, then bought cleaning products that same day. The man at reception refused to believe us and argued, even though we had evidence. He was rude, unhelpful and talked down to us the whole time. We checked out the next day. They wouldn’t refund most of what we’d paid, but we were relieved to leave. It was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in, and I travel often, so I’ve been to plenty.

The kitchen and bedroom were fine, and the accommodation was okay overall. The sofa bed was broken, though, and the bathroom was badly worn. There was hardly any pressure when using the shower or bath. I was told the place would close for about three months for refurbishment soon.

The rooms are spacious, and having a kitchen with cutlery and a microwave was useful. The pool area was fine and gets good sun. There’s a bus stop very close by, along with shops selling cruise tickets. For me, this is an average two- or three-star hotel, not a four-star one. Check-in at 16:00 is far too late, while checkout at 10:00 is too early. I’d expect 12 and 12. It’s also annoying that the restaurant is closed during the key 13-18 hours, just when you’d want food and a drink in the sun. It almost feels like there’s no restaurant at all. There’s no Wi-Fi in the rooms either, which is bad.
