Mavina Hotel

I’ve stayed here many times and it’s never let me down. The pool, bar and entertainment are more than you’d usually expect from a three-star hotel. The staff are fantastic, polite and helpful. If you want a decent place to stay at a low price, this is it.

I was refused a refund and told to “go ahead and leave a negative review,” so here it is. In my experience, this hotel was unsanitary, felt unsafe, and brushed off a possible mouse infestation. That’s a serious hygiene and safety issue, and it shouldn’t be dismissed. I was shaken and disgusted to find mouse droppings under the duvet cover after getting into bed. Yes, inside the bed. I’d booked a budget hotel and expected something simple, not the Ritz, which would have been fine. But basic hygiene and a safe place to sleep are the minimum. I went straight to the night receptionist. He said there were no other rooms, but when I asked for a refund so I could move elsewhere, a spare room suddenly appeared. It was already 11:30pm, and I wasn’t staying another minute. I booked another hotel and left. When I came back the next morning to request a refund, the manager was incredibly passive-aggressive. There was no apology or concern. He insisted there were “no mice in the building,” said the night manager had checked, and basically accused me of lying, despite the photo and video evidence I have. I got denial, hostility and no accountability instead of respectful service.

The staff were so nice, especially Mr. Vincent at reception. He really seems to enjoy his job and tries to help everyone. I’m very grateful for his kindness and the respect he showed guests. They treat people who stay here with real consideration, and I was very satisfied.

The staff were welcoming and very friendly, always willing to help. Our room was clean, tidy and cozy, so it felt comfortable and relaxing. Breakfast was delicious too. I had a wonderful stay, would definitely recommend the place and be happy to come back.
