Il Bekka Suites

We chose Medina and Rabat because we wanted a laid-back, boutique feel for our time in Malta, and Bella Suites suited us perfectly. The place is thoughtfully put together, cozy, and easy to get to. Breakfast at the historical palace was amazing. Thanks 🎉

Milli was always quick to answer my questions and requests, and checked in thoughtfully about how I was feeling and how the stay was going. That care meant a lot, including when I accidentally canceled my hotel reservation. She also turned my breakfast voucher into takeaways for the dive days after I couldn't dive for two days because of congestion. Collecting a meal the night before was a nice surprise, and the egg sandwich was delicious even cold. After my long flight, arriving with a cold, I was grateful that Milli let me check in early. I had a top-floor suite with a jacuzzi in the heart of beautiful Rabat, steps from many attractions. With all my heavy dive gear, it helped to leave my bag downstairs. The room was spacious and immaculate, with a comfortable sofa. The balcony was my favorite spot, with a daybed for two, table and chairs, and the jacuzzi, perfect for unwinding after the flight. Breakfast at “Bottegin” was included and fabulous. The menu had lots of options, and I had a delicious omelet. On departure day, my flight was late at night. They offered to store my luggage at “Bottegin,” but I appreciated being able to stay all day and work on my computer. Thanks for such a wonderful stay, Milli, you're the best!

Mili was what made our stay feel special. The hotel itself was lovely too, comfortable and beautiful, with a perfect location.

The restaurant, Bottegin Palazzo Xara, was a highlight for us. We loved the food, atmosphere, and amazing service, and spent a lot of time there. We had an awesome stay overall, with instant, friendly communication and people going out of their way to make it great. I'd highly recommend getting a suite. A few practical things: there aren't spare wall sockets, so bring a 3 plug adapter or a small extension. We had to unplug the TV to use the kettle and charge 1 phone, and the only bedside socket already had a light and fridge plugged in, leaving just one charging spot. For a hair dryer, straighteners, or curlers, bring a small mirror since there isn't one near a plug. The window blind lets in a lot of light around the edge, so the person on that side of the bed might wake with the sun. An eye mask would help. None of it dampened our stay, we had the best time.
