Flamingo Hotel Malta

The rooms were clean, service was exceptional, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. There was a lot of noisy building work on the street, though I guess that’s the price of having an updated Malta, and it seems to be happening all over the island right now. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back, if only to chat with Grace at reception! 😆

The staff were warm and friendly, and the location was excellent, with several bus stops nearby. Prices were reasonable and low for the busy season. The towels and bedding looked a bit dated and had yellowed over time. The air conditioning could also do a better job heating.

The only reason I gave service two stars was Pamela, the kind woman at the front desk. She cleaned up our flooded room at 3 am and did everything she could to help. After quick showers at check-in, water flooded the whole room, from the bathroom to the balcony door. We asked to change rooms but were told there was no room for us. Then at 7 am the next morning, our phone kept ringing until we answered, and we were told we could move if we came to the front desk right then. Terrible experience. Don’t stay here.

We arrived at 11 pm, checked into our room, and took quick showers before bed. After that, the entire floor was covered in water, from the bathroom all the way to the balcony window. I’ve never seen anything like it and wish I could attach pictures. We immediately asked for another room and were told they couldn’t accommodate us. The room wasn’t cleaned up until 3 am, yet construction started at 7 am and the phone rang repeatedly until we answered. The concierge then said we could switch rooms, but only if we came right then. We asked for a refund for just the one night and were refused. Terrible customer service, accommodation, and noise. Don’t stay here.
