Hilton Malta

The hotel sits right on the water, and our room was really spacious. Everything was super clean, and the staff took such good care of us. We told them ahead of time that we were celebrating birthdays, and they left us a treat in the room. Such a kind gesture. We’ve stayed at a lot of Hiltons, and this is one of our favorites. Highly recommend if you want a luxurious stay in Malta!

Breakfast was outstanding, with a great range of high-quality food, from international options to traditional Maltese dishes. The thoughtful surprises stood out too: chocolates for the children when we arrived, then a small bottle of Prosecco and chocolates waiting for us on New Year’s Eve. That felt genuinely special. Our room overlooked the marina, was ready when we arrived, and porters brought our luggage up promptly. Housekeeping kept it to a high standard and left fresh towels every day. Reception quickly sent extra hangers when we asked, and whenever we called ahead for the car, valet had it waiting by the time we reached reception. Every staff member, from the porters to reception, was welcoming, professional, and friendly. We stay in five-star hotels regularly and travel a lot, and there was nothing to fault during our stay at Hilton Malta. We checked out today from room 217 and will definitely be back. The suite had stunning views and was so well appointed. We slept wonderfully, with pillows like clouds, and breakfast had an excellent choice. The lobby was lovely to look at, and the staff took time to explain the facilities and how to find our room. Even before we stepped inside, we noticed a beautiful scent. The welcome was warm and check-in went smoothly. Everyone was friendly, made conversation, and was happy to help. If I led the team, I’d be very proud. You can have an amazing hotel and room, but the people are what make the experience. Keep doing what you’re doing, Hilton Malta. I’d return in a heartbeat. Thank you all!

We spent five wonderful nights here, and I’d recommend the hotel for its service, impressive facilities, and modern convenience. The staff were consistently polite, professional, and helpful. When we noticed toiletries missing on the first day, one quick call to reception sorted it immediately. Our spacious, clean, comfortable room had a wonderful sea view, though it was far from the elevators. It was directly above the fitness center, and the sound insulation didn’t block the noise of guests dropping or improperly placing weights. That was my main complaint. The breakfast selection was vast and excellent quality, though any breakfast can feel repetitive after five days. The large hotel has lots of amenities, including a heated indoor pool in the health and fitness center and what I believe is a squash or tennis court. The sauna there is quite small, with glass walls or windows facing a corridor, so people walking by can see right inside and there’s no privacy. St Julian is a lively, modern hub, with plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops within easy walking distance. We especially enjoyed a nearby Italian restaurant. It’s convenient and full of energy, but compared with Valletta’s historic, character-filled streets, the area can feel a little generic and sterile, without the old-world Maltese charm. That’s not a drawback if you want nightlife and easy access to dining. I’d suggest asking for a room away from the gym, and closer to the elevators if walking is a concern. For a more historic Maltese atmosphere, you might prefer Valletta or Mdina.
