The District Hotel

Getting a table at breakfast can be a hassle. The hotel lobby is small, so the food and tables are packed in, and it gets crowded at busy times. I'd try to go early if you can. Apart from that, the rooms were clean and the location was convenient for public transport, St Julian’s and Paceville. It was a good hotel overall, and I'd stay again.

The price was about €50 a night, with breakfast another €10 per person, and the bus stops are a 4-5 minute walk away. We stayed two nights and slept comfortably. The room was clean, and the breakfast buffet lady was so kind, we loved her. The twin beds pushed together had an uncomfortable gap, though, and the light in the mini fridge didn't work. We put out a “Do Not Disturb” sign, but they still cleaned the room. Wi-Fi was really bad, so don't count on it. There's no soundproofing, but it was okay and not too loud, probably because few cars pass through this part of San Julian despite it being central. We'd first spent five nights elsewhere with proper soundproofing, and it was still noisy. I'd still recommend staying here.

I stayed for a week and would happily come back next time I'm in Malta. The staff were kind and helpful, and the service was amazing. The hotel itself feels modern and super fresh. It's in a good area, just a 2 minute walk from a shopping center, arcade, several bars, a beach, bowling and a movie theatre. The area has nothing, and the architecture is modern and sleek. Great hotel for a great price.

My friend from Macedonia at reception was a great guy. Top place, amazing hotel! The rooms feel luxurious for the price, and breakfast was nice. Everything was good!
