Being in a farmhouse with so much history was a big part of what we loved. It’s been thoughtfully converted from a 200-year-old building and has the everyday comforts, including a kitchen with enough equipment to cook for a family. It’s also tucked away from the crowds, while still being close to the centre of San Lawrence, the lovely church, two restaurants and a small square. Whenever we called with an issue, like the hot water, someone answered and sorted it out straight away.

The landlord gave us five-star service, and the house itself had loads of character and features. It was cosy, the kitchen was well equipped, and amenities were close by. San Lawrenz is a really quiet village, with a lovely restaurant just a few metres away. Definitely recommend it. Thank you, Vincent/ Joanne.

We spent a short holiday here, and the children made the most of the pool. The pool area felt completely private from the neighbours, and the rooftop sunbeds and BBQ were great for watching the sunset. Tal-Barun farmhouse is more than 200 years old and still has most of its original features. It has two levels, with the bedrooms upstairs. The freshly painted red door and windows are a lovely welcome in the tranquil village of san lawrenz gozo, close to the village core and all amenities. The farmhouse was very clean and well maintained. It had what we needed to cook a proper meal, or make tea and coffee. Marvic explained everything when we arrived. We’ll definitely recommend staying here.

A beautiful place, with a great host. It was really quiet, too.
