A spacious, clean place that felt very comfortable.

We had a lovely week here.

The house is laid out nicely, with a shower room and toilet for each bedroom, two bedrooms downstairs and two upstairs. There’s also a washing machine. We found a few everyday things missing for our needs, such as a vegetable peeler and a potty for young children. A portable beach parasol would have been handy too; we bought one locally and brought it home on the plane as a souvenir. We moved the sun loungers during our stay so young children wouldn’t get out. Getting around was straightforward. The bus stop is on the parallel road below, though services are only hourly, and by car you’re under 20 minutes from anywhere on the island. The only Lidl on Gozo is 3 km away, easiest to walk to very early. Fruit and vegetable sellers nearby had very affordable prices. In central Sannat, opposite the church and a four-minute walk from the house, there’s a small popular pizzeria with a green sign and Lions Club logo. Pizzas were generously topped and cost €5-€6.50. Remember that they drive on the left. The round-trip transport from Malta Airport to the house on Gozo was impeccably organized and included in the rental: a 45-minute taxi ride, a 20-minute ferry crossing, then another 15-minute taxi. The extra services were excellent, including last-minute help, and the rates were better than those of other local companies we came across. We rented two cars, both waiting at the front door. They were quick and attentive whenever we had questions. One small drawback is that bedroom air conditioning costs extra and is activated with €1 or €2 coins. It charges according to use and the number of bedrooms, so bring coins. The ceiling fans did the job, though air conditioning felt essential for children. The house is highly recommended.
