The harbor views, location, and working Wi-Fi are what earned the two stars. The breakfast was very poor, with stale croissants, cereal, and yogurt. Our upstairs room was badly designed: the bedroom also served as the bathroom and toilet. Water from the shower seeped under the broken floorboards, and the floor stayed wet for days even with the window and door open. It seemed like the room would get moldy soon. There’s a shared kitchen downstairs for guests from the other rooms, which came as a surprise because the booking pages didn’t mention shared spaces. The shower pump was loud enough to keep us awake when we wanted to rest after walking all day. The kitchen light was out too, and they said they’d replace the bulb only after we’d left. If you can live with those problems, the harbor views and lots of good restaurants make the place splendid.

The harbor view from the kitchen is stunning, and you can watch cruise ships come and go each day. The neighborhood is peaceful, with an easy walk to the bus stop for Valletta or to the ferry, which costs €1.50 per person. There are three rooms sharing the kitchen. Everything worked well for us apart from the mattress, which was far too thin and made sleeping uncomfortable, and the kitchen lighting, which felt a bit dim for evening cooking.

The view was the one redeeming feature, since the listing didn’t match what we found. The room and house were dirty, and despite a cleaning fee the room wasn’t even cleaned daily. Breakfast was served in a dirty shared kitchen and was very poor: cereal in glass jars that seemed like it could last for years, some yogurt, and, in my case, two pieces of supermarket mortadella in the fridge. The listing also claimed there was parking, but there wasn’t. It’s quite isolated, so you need a bus or ferry to reach Valetta or anywhere else. I was very disappointed and wouldn’t come back.
