AX The Victoria Hotel

My husband and I picked Malta for our wedding anniversary, and coming back from a day out to a surprise bottle of Prosecco in our room made us so happy. The hotel is fantastic, the location is super, breakfast was amazing, and the staff were very friendly. We’d certainly return to this special hotel xxx

The rooftop pool is bigger than the indoor one, and I liked the hotel and its service. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. I got a free cocktail voucher because I was staying there on my birthday, and breakfast had a wide range of food. There’s even a souvenir shop inside, surprisingly cheaper than the ones outside. It’s a good Sliema location if you want to be near the ferry, about a 10-minute walk downhill. There are plenty of restaurants around, especially Asian and Filipino ones.

The indoor pool and sauna were nice. It was a bit cold for the outdoor pool, though it looked nice. Rooms were comfortable and clean, and the location made nearby places easy to reach. Breakfast was very good with a big selection, and the staff were really great.

The hotel looked just like the pictures, and the women at reception were extremely kind, polite, and helpful every time. The rest of the team did an excellent job, and I really appreciate their professionalism and kindness. The 3-star rating is only for the male receptionist on duty on Saturday 20/12 in the evening. I was traveling with someone whose medication had to be kept frozen. At first, the women at reception understood and were happy to put our cooling gels in the freezer. When we later asked the male receptionist for the same help, he asked whether the refrigerator in our room was working. We calmly explained twice that the gels needed to be frozen, not just refrigerated. I think we said “freezer” at least three times. He said “okay, okay,” so we thought it would be taken care of. When we checked out on Sunday, we found that the gels had only been refrigerated, not frozen. We left at 12:00 and didn’t get home until midnight, so the medication was in bad shape after more than 12 hours. That was very disappointing. Thank you very much for everything. Best regards.
