We were very happy with Palazzo Violetta from start to finish and would book it again. Booking direct got us an excellent deal, and our suite with terrace was just right: a large, newly refurbished south-facing room with plenty of outdoor space for the occasional January sunshine. The walk-in shower was excellent too. The location suited us perfectly as second-time visitors who wanted an authentic area close to shops, restaurants and buses. Sliema waterfront and Baluta Bay were both about 10 minutes away, and the 21/22 bus to Valetta stopped just around the corner. The staff were all kind, knowledgeable and very helpful. We'd highly recommend it.

The staff were all friendly, attentive and courteous, and the room was clean, spacious and well kept. It felt a little dated and lacked a boutique feel, but was perfectly adequate. We liked the location: a mini market and bar are a couple of minutes away, while Sliema waterfront and Balluta Bay are both about a 10-minute walk. That also made it nice and quiet. If you want to be right in the middle of the action, this might not suit you.

Everything I needed was in the clean, comfortable room, and all the details made for a relaxing, enjoyable stay. I had a wonderful time here and highly recommend the hotel.

A good breakfast and free tea and coffee were nice touches. The hotel was clean and close to a bus stop, and the rooms had towels and slippers. Just a note, it's easy to mix this up with Villa Violetta across the road.
