Granny's Inn - Hostel

Really nice place for the price. It was clean, and the hostess was friendly.

Good value, and everything was nice and clean. The kitchen had all the things you might need. It’s been newly renovated, including the bathrooms.

There are three terraces to relax on and a large kitchen, plus a fridge in each room. The beds were comfortable and sturdy, rooms were cleaned daily, and the place was quiet and very clean. It’s about a ten-minute walk to the ferries and close to bus stops. You can use the AC, heat, or fans. The neighborhood is cute and walkable, around ten minutes in either direction from the water. I felt safe travelling solo as a woman. Staff are on site, with office hours in the morning, and the owner responds if you need anything. There are easy stairs but no lift. This is a special hostel. Look for the red awning over the front door!

I could sleep well here since it's not a party hostel. The location's great too, about five minutes from Sliema's beach and coast and the bus stop, with shops and other essentials no more than 5-10 minutes away on foot. My room had AC, and there were extra blankets for when it was on. Check-in worked at any hour. I arrived around 12:30am, got the entry code, and picked up my keys from a box near reception. There's a kitchen, a second-floor common room, and a nice rooftop terrace, though I didn't use the kitchen. A few things could be better. I was on the first floor, and the bathroom door still hadn't been fixed, as other reviews had mentioned. Curtains around the beds would give more privacy. The hostel also wasn't very social. The owners or staff could organize gatherings or events every 2-3 weeks, perhaps on the rooftop, which is a nice spot. I enjoyed my stay at the granny’s inn!
