Lady Todd

Nice hotel, but my room was near the street and it got a bit noisy. Luckily I had good earplugs with me, which I’d say are a must.

Really clean and nice hotel, right in the center with lots of cafes, restaurants and shops around. Great for the price, and I’d definitely recommend it.

Check-in and service were great, and the room itself was modern, attractive and really nice. There’s a lift for all the levels in the building. Breakfast was a strong point too, with a well-rounded Mediterranean spread: plenty of salads and cheeses, baked goods and cereals. One thing that wasn’t clear beforehand is that check-in and breakfast are at another hotel, Mr Todd, a two-minute walk away. The main drawback was the noise. The large vents in the walls and windows that aren’t soundproof let in a lot of traffic sounds. The hotel isn’t on a main road, but taxis and construction vehicles use the busy street, and traffic in Malta is louder than in the UK, with lots of car horns.

We found the room quiet because the area was peaceful, and it had everything we needed. It was spacious and stylish, very clean, with a great bathroom and a cute balcony, one of the best rooms I’ve seen. The hotel has no front desk, so check-in and breakfast are handled at Mr Todd, a minute away. The blonde lady at reception helped us with the fridge, and Diego was really polite and friendly. Breakfast had a nice choice of sweet and savory food and drinks. The staff were helpful and friendly. It’s close to buses, supermarkets and the Sliema port to Valletta, which makes it handy for tourists. We’d definitely stay again.
