The main downside is that the pool is quite far from the hotel, and parking there can be a problem. Still, the food is tasty and there’s a fairly wide choice. Service was good, and the operators were friendly and helpful. From the hotel window, the view of the capital, Valletta, is unique and wonderful. In general, everything was good.

Stay away from this hotel, even if it means paying more for somewhere nicer. It’s full of bed bugs. I was bitten all over, and the bites became infected after I got back to the UK. I spent about £100.00 on medicine. After I submitted a detailed complaint, they refunded less than half the cost of the stay.

We had a Superior Sea View room with a terrace or balcony and excellent views across the bay and Sliema promenade. Breakfast was tasty with plenty of variety, and the reception staff were friendly. Neda at reception, Cezar, who looked after the room’s cleanliness, and Sebastian in the breakfast room were especially nice. The room does need renovation, though. The cabinets have no shelves, so they’re not very useful, and the bathroom urgently needs more lighting and another shelf for toiletries.

The room was large and comfortable, though I understand they aren’t all like that. The bathroom could use some renovation, but it was decent. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast is served in the restaurant on the ground floor. Great value for the money. From the balcony, you get a great view of Valletta.
