Slimiza Suites

We host on Airbnb ourselves, so this was a terrible experience for us. There was no breakfast, despite the listing saying it was free. The room change didn't solve things. In the second room, we could hear the elevator through the shared wall, along with people talking and laughing in the passage through what seemed like a very thin gypsum wall. In the first room, there was an unpleasant smell, a dirty bathmat, a hole in the towel, and only one knife and fork for the two of us. The front door was broken and reception was empty, so anyone could walk in from the street and wander around at any time. Reviews suggest this has been an ongoing issue the host knows about. When we raised our concerns, the host accused us of making them up to get a refund and suggested we leave a day early because we were difficult. If you just need somewhere to sleep after partying, this may suit you. For a decent stay with a friendly host, I'd look elsewhere.

Quiet, yet right in the middle of everything, with bus stops, shops and restaurants nearby. The room was very clean and had everything I needed.

There’s a washing machine and dryer available, which came in handy, and towels and sheets were ready when we arrived. Entry felt secure, with a code for the building and cards for the rooms. The staff were really nice and quick to respond. The hotel is well placed in Sliema, close to the beach, ferry and supermarket. I’d stay here again if I return to Malta.

We’d happily come back and would recommend it. The room was bigger than the photos suggested, the bed was comfy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was outstanding. One of our best stays in Malta.
