Strand Suites

The rooms look more like the photos people post in reviews than the ones on the website. This place is smaller than the Novotel, which is only about three minutes away, but I preferred it, probably because it had a full-length mirror. I don't think the decor looks as nice as Novotel's, though I still enjoyed staying here. Whatever they clean with leaves a fresh smell that lasts for days. There’s a boba shop a minute away, a convenience store about three minutes off, and lots of places to eat nearby. The room and location were nice, and I’d come back to this place if I visit Malta again.

The main downside for me is the TV. I couldn't get a decent signal on any channel, so watching a film was out of the question. Otherwise, this has become my go-to place in Malta. I've stayed here twice and it hasn't let me down. The rooms are really nice, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the area is great, right by the coastal walkway with loads of places to eat. There’s also a direct airport bus just outside.

Staff were very polite, friendly and supportive, and the rooms were spacious, clean and well equipped. The dock and bus station are two minutes away, with the ferry to Valletta about ten minutes off. Prices were decent for this time of year. Reception is open 24/7, and there are vending machines in the lobby.

The rooms were very clean, and there’s a small rooftop pool that was great for relaxing. It’s about 100 metres from bus stops in both directions, with plenty of restaurants close by. Breakfast is available at a nearby hotel for 9 euros. The staff were so kind. The woman who welcomed us late at night greeted us with a smile, and Tatiana helped us during the day. At departure, she suggested we leave our luggage at another hotel in the chain in Valletta, since our flight was late. A super hotel.
