Only benefit was the location. The place was awful, and it ruined our trip. We cancelled our stay and headed back to Malta. The property looked abandoned, and the apartment was so dirty. The outdoor terrace had dog poo, the pool was dirty, and the floor, showers, sofa bed, cups, and tea towel were dirty too. We booked for four adults and two children, but had only four dirty towels. The kids’ sofa bed wasn’t made, and we had to search for the linen. The water pressure was nonexistent. The TV only had local channels and wouldn’t connect to Netflix. The cable box kept saying our package didn’t include the channel. We’d been told breakfast was available, but the restaurant was closed up and being demolished. We called the owner, who said he’d contact the cleaners to fix the problems. A huge disappointment. Don’t waste your time booking here.

Our room at the Cittadella was spacious, stayed cool, and was cleaned well. The apartments are right in the center, with easy access to town and the buses. We enjoyed our stay.

The room was very clean and roomy, and the receptionist was lovely. Unfortunately, they charged our credit card for no reason. We’d chosen to pay in cash through the booking website, but still ended up paying a lot of fees.

There was no soap, no plug, and the furniture was falling apart. Arrival instructions were wrong, and they wouldn’t let us leave luggage before check-in or after check-out. In the latter case, they weren’t helpful or creative at all. Breakfast was awful: instant coffee beside a barista machine, the worst omelette ever, and a very poor sandwich on over-toasted bread. The juice was horrible and the fruit was dirty. Wouldn’t recommend.
