Il-Logga Boutique Hotel

The rooftop pool was a lovely way to unwind after excursions, with open views and sunshine through the day. It fits about four people; during our stay we rarely saw other guests, so we usually had it to ourselves. Evenings up there got windier and chilly. We also ate dinner at the restaurant a few times for convenience, and the food was good. The dishes were excellent, and the spiced fried potatoes were some of the best I’ve had. I’d recommend the risotto, Duo of Rabbit, Local Pork Neck and Grilled Rib-eye Steak. Mains come with sides such as roasted vegetables and fries or fried potatoes. II- Logga was a handy, central base for seeing Gozo. The roads connected well to the places we wanted to go, and parking was easy, with free roadside spots usually available nearby. It’s a family-run boutique hotel on a quiet hilltop, with breezy conditions and fantastic roof views. The rooms have a homely feel. Service was excellent and we felt well looked after. Breakfast was included, with four food choices from a list, plus free-flow toast, butter and other spreads, coffee, tea and juice. It was high quality, beautifully presented and filling. Our spacious room had air conditioning, a ceiling fan, local and satellite TV channels, a comfortable bed and pillows, a fresh toilet and a shower that worked well. The water in Gozo is salty. Our room faced two streets with traffic, but with the doors and windows closed, it hardly bothered us.

We almost skipped this place because it was a bit far from where we were, but the menu caught our eye. Glad we went. Everything was delicious, from the bread with truffle butter to the chicken balls appetizer and the main course. The server was kind and quick throughout.

The chicken truffle balls and prawn pancake were especially delicious, and the service was among the best I’ve had in Gozo. My rabbit main was tasty, particularly the pulled rabbit, though the portion was too big. Good value for money too. We had Sunday lunch here today, and I’d highly recommend the restaurant.

The restaurant food was amazing, and the staff were really helpful. The place was clean and nice, with great hospitality. Our room had a coffee machine, tea and a fridge. Highly recommended.
