Bayview Apartments

Ruth was one of the best hosts we’ve had in 20 years of travelling since retirement. She and Glen were extremely helpful and there whenever we needed them. APULIA restaurant is also just a short walk away and well worth recommending. The view over the bay is fabulous, and the location is handy, with a bus stop nearby and a small convenience shop for basics. Lidl has a much better selection and prices. The kitchen was well equipped, though we could have used basic cleaning supplies. The apartment is spacious, and the beds were reasonably comfortable, but a bit small. The dark furniture felt overpowering, and brighter curtains and a few cushions would make the living room and bedrooms feel nicer. Our first few days were a rough start: there was no internet or TV for three days, but the host worked hard to get it fixed. Parking could be difficult. I have a blue badge and there was a designated disabled space outside, but it wasn’t always available, so we sometimes had to park a long way off. The residents also didn’t like us using the space. Getting around is easy, with the bus station just a three-minute walk away. There are also a couple of restaurants nearby and a well-stocked convenience shop, so there are food options close at hand. We found the apartment clean and nicely furnished, in a quiet neighbourhood, with lovely sea views that made it easy to unwind. The WiFi was strong and didn’t drop out.

The view was impressive, and we really enjoyed staying here. The hosts were great with us, helping quickly whenever we needed something. I’d recommend the apartment.

The apartment was clean and nice enough, but I was surprised to be charged for the water and electricity we used. I haven’t had that happen at other places I’ve stayed while travelling. For a six-day rental costing over 500 euros, it felt like a complete rip-off.
