Mariblu Bed & Breakfast Guesthouse

The woman running the place seemed lovely, and the staff were attentive. The beds were comfy, the rooms large, and the amenities basic, though the shower was good. The saltwater pool was nice, but very deep. Breakfast was good: take a seat and they'll ask what you'd like. It's more like a two-star B&B, on a busy road with not much around, though the bus stop isn't far. On a cool night we walked back from The Citadrl in 40 minutes at an easy pace. All in all, not a bad base for a few days exploring Gozo.

The host, the woman, was so warm and kind, and breakfast was generous and cooked fresh. The location and facilities were good, and the pool was nice too. But her husband wasn't very nice when we wanted to complain about his excursions. After that, he didn't even say hello to us, which felt unprofessional. I'd advise against booking excursions with them, as you may be disappointed.

We booked this B&B through Expedia for two nights because the price was right, and I'm really glad we did. When we arrived, the family was away at their grandchild's christening and the place was locked, but a sign gave us a number to call. They came to check us in within 10 minutes. The rooms were cute and very clean, with cable TV. Breakfast had a buffet of fruit, cheeses, meats, and breads, plus cooked-to-order options, and it was very good. Another guest said lunch was fantastic, though I didn't get to try it. There's a nice pool, and the bus stop is right next door. Their son owns the Dive/tour company next door, which is handy for booking an excursion. A lovely family and a real gem on Giza!
