Lemon Tree Relais by CX Collection

The breakfast was made to order and really hit the spot, as did the Maltese food we tried. We had a cozy, well-equipped room at Lemon Tree Relais, and our hostess Claire made us feel right at home. Thanks for such a lovely stay!

We booked the whole Lemon Tree for our family during our wedding week, and after spending a lovely week there, we have no regrets. Birgit & Clare looked after us so well. The place was peaceful and authentic, with a great location, lovely pool, delicious breakfasts, and rooms that each had their own character. It was exactly what we wanted.

The courtyard was a lovely spot for the carefully prepared breakfast each morning, and the pool being open 24/7 was a treat. It’s only a three-minute walk to the Busstation Newl. The hotel has six double rooms, all clean, beautiful, and individually furnished. It felt like a quiet oasis on lively Malta. Many thanks to Claire and her team. The staff were pleasant, the breakfast was good, and I liked the quiet feel, rustic but cozy style, and pool in the backyard. Still, a lot of practical things were frustrating. There were no bathroom outlets, the towels left lint all over me, and the soap and shampoo didn’t leave me feeling clean. The bedroom had no windows, so using the A/C was a must. Water wasn’t included, and we had to pay each time we opened a bottle. The location felt far from the nicer parts of the island, with no supermarkets or good dinner options nearby. The shower pressure was so strong that the drain couldn’t keep up, and I had to watch out for water flooding both the bathroom and bedroom. For the price, I don’t think it’s good value, and I wouldn’t return.
