Palazzo Pisani Malta Boutique & Spa

Alexis and the staff were lovely, sharing tips for places to see and booking restaurants and boat trips for us. Coming back to the hotel felt like returning to a real haven. We also happened to be there for the local festival, which was amazing. It’s a charming boutique hotel with lots of character and a great base for exploring the Island.

Palazzo Pisani would be my first choice if I return to Malta. We had one of the best stays I can remember. In Żabbar, the hotel sits on a charming street in a beautiful, peaceful town, and the old palace really does make you feel as if you’re staying in a castle. Everything was spotless, and our room had all we needed. The garden and pool were stunning, the pool water was very pleasant, and I’ve never seen a cleaner pool. Breakfast was great too. Alexis, the owner, is friendly and easygoing, and his staff were just as welcoming and helpful. He’s always around if you need something and enjoys sharing tips. It was a perfect stay.

We spent a week here in September 2024 and found it wonderfully relaxing, away from the busier parts of the island. Celine and Alex were great hosts, helping us plan trips around the islands and lending us useful things, including hats and snorkels for a boat tour. Breakfast was delicious, and the garden pool was a lovely place to read. The resident cats are friendly and enjoy keeping you company. The hotel is in a quiet area, yet the harbour with its many bars and restaurants is just a short taxi ride away. We mostly walked there in about 15 minutes, then took the short ferry across to Valletta. Recommended for a peaceful stay.
