The resort was spotless, and every team member we met was polite and incredibly helpful. We had a great stay, with lovely accommodation and lots of good food choices. My one suggestion is to add a regular vegetarian option to the menu at Le Phare.

There was plenty to do, and the team was wonderful. The beach is small, so activities and excursions are a good idea. We could always get a spot there since it wasn’t high season. The property is starting to look a bit old and could use a refurbishment, though everything else made up for it.

The food and drinks had a huge selection, and the quality was really high, with something for every kind of palate. Club Med Albion works well for a relaxing trip or for activities, whether you’re travelling alone, with family, or with friends. There are facilities for everyone from kids to adults, and the resort is so large that it never felt busy to us. The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to make the stay memorable.

We’ve been here four times, and my teen daughters keep insisting we come back. There’s so much for them to do, and they meet all kinds of people, which is an education in itself. The location and atmosphere are incredible. Even the most serious person ends up smiling and laughing here. The GO staff are friendly and helpful, but they also know when to give you space. If you want company, they’re there, and if you want time alone, they keep their distance. Mr Mehdi, the current manager, is a five-star chief: hands-on, involved in the activities and shows, and runs the place more like a family than a business. The staff get to know guests and greet you by name, like the Cheers line, “You wanna be … where everyone knows your man”. There’s loads to do, from paddle to tennis, table tennis, soccer and water sports. Or just relax by the pool with music and waiters looking after you, or chill and sunbathe on the beach. Evenings bring shows, dancing and lots of fun. I saw grannies dancing to some popular French songs, which was a treat. There are some things that need work. The rooms need upgrading. We had beach-front suites, but there were small, irritating insects and even the odd roach. Staff took a while to sort that out. The kitchen serving staff weren’t as friendly as they should have been. A smile and a bit of chat would have gone a long way, especially compared with the rest of the hotel. The menus are good, but the quality and variety of the food have changed. It was definitely better on our previous visit in 2024. Maybe the chefs have changed. The Indian food used to be better, and the American food has become too focused on beef and fish. Vegetarian options lacked flavour this time. Still, this is the place for a holiday where you switch off and do whatever you want, or let the staff take care of things for you.
