The balcony was dusty and dirty, which took away from the room. Most of the staff were okay, though the receptionist at the Spa was a standout, with a genuinely warm smile. I also loved the design of the hotel, one of the best I’ve stayed in. Of the three hotels I visited in Mauritius, this one had the best breakfast buffet. The pool works well for families, but it may feel too short if you’re a serious swimmer.

The people here made the biggest impression on us. The team helped make our anniversary and our daughter’s birthday special, restaurant staff were always smiling and seemed to know what we needed before we asked, and a lifeguard even found my bracelet at the bottom of the pool. Housekeeping and maintenance responded almost right away and were keen to get everything just right. The Play team and Studio 17 also helped us make memories we’ll keep long after the trip. I don’t usually write reviews, especially during a holiday, but LUX Belle Mare changed that. It’s a beautiful, thoughtfully designed resort right by the beach, and the warmth and care from the team felt like a reflection of Mauritian culture. I’ve never stayed somewhere where every staff member seemed so ready to help and invested in making the visit unforgettable. We’re grateful to be here, the stay has already exceeded expectations, and we’re looking forward to the time we have left.

The rooms, food, hotel and beachside setting were all excellent. The slow, confusing check-in, though, was a real letdown. After a long trip, it would make more sense to get guests settled so they can shower and rest instead of keeping them at reception. Asking which language they prefer and having someone who speaks it help could avoid misunderstandings. The process needs to be more efficient, and customer service, especially from management, needs work. Management came across as if they knew it all and didn’t consider how much some guests had paid. It’s a great place, but staff need training to be more focused on guests and quicker at check-in. This is a five-star hotel, and tourists shouldn’t keep being disappointed.

Hello Lux Belle Mare Team, The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, and the little touches during the day, especially on the beach, were thoughtful and much appreciated. Everyone was kind and attentive, from room service and reception to the teens’ and kids’ club teams. The F&B service team stood out for the special attention, warm smiles and kindness.
