LeBovallon B&B

The host was very friendly, and breakfast changed each morning, which was nice, though the portions were a bit small. The location works well for visiting the area, but I don't think this particular B&B deserves three stars. The rooms are very outdated, and the mattresses were so uncomfortable that my back hurt after staying there. There's no soundproofing between rooms and the rest of the hotel, so if someone talks on the balcony at night, you'll hear every word.

We loved the location of Le Bovallon. It was a short walk to Mahebourg, but far enough out to stay quiet. A couple of good restaurants and a supermarket are within five minutes on foot, while Pointe d'Esny and Blue Bay, with the island's best snorkeling, are a 5-10 minute drive away. The town centre is around a 15-minute walk, with local shops and restaurants. Our apartment was clean, quiet, and had everything we needed. Breakfast was a nice surprise each day: help-yourself drinks and toast, plus a freshly prepared special such as waffles, pancakes, omelettes, or fruit salad. It was excellent value. The host and staff were friendly and went beyond what we expected, even letting us shower after checkout because our flight was late. We loved it. Thanks, everyone!

That balcony was a lovely part of our stay. My boyfriend and I spent a few nights here in September in a double room with its own bathroom. Breakfast changed each day, and there was always fresh fruit and something baked that day. It felt really welcoming.

Blue Bay Beach is very close, and there’s a small pool for a quick dip. We stayed two nights and found the place very decent for the price. The rooms had the basics we needed, including a kitchen.
