The apartment was clean and near a great bakery and the blue marine park, which I think is Mauritius’s best spot for snorkeling and seeing sea life. The host was fantastic: he always got back to me within ten minutes at most, lent me his bike for a few days at no cost, and arranged some nice snorkel trips at a fair price. My stay was a 10/10, and I’d absolutely recommend this place and host if you’re staying on the island’s east side. Thanks :)

A decent place to use as a base while travelling around the whole island, but I thought it was a bit pricey at AU$170 a night for what you get. I had a cockroach fall on my head while I was in bed, and got bitten by a mosquito numerous times, as if it had been hiding somewhere. There’s no screen on the French door, and the shower is on the small side. No tea or coffee was provided either.
